Suzuki Kizashi gets a sport version
Suzuki plans to make a "sport" version of its really good but still virtually unknown midsize car, the Kizashi. It showed off the sporty model last night to Drive On and the rest of the automotive press at a reception at a sports-car club near the site of the New York Auto Show.
The sport version option, which is available on the Kizashi's upscale GTS and SLS trim levels, includes touches like a more racy front end, a chrome strip on the sides, spoiler, 18-inch alloy wheels, perforations in the steering wheel and stitching in the leather interior. Pricing hasn't been announced yet. The version will go on sale in August.
"We've been thrilled with an enthusiastic reaction to the 2010 Kizashi, and we look forward to offering sport sedan buyers the newest iteration of our stylish sport sedan later this year," said Koichi Suzuki, executive vice president American Suzuki Automotive Operations.
