Sketches of three MG vehicles that had been readied since 2005 have just been released on the net (thanks to AutoExpress and AROnline). The three vehicles – a new TF roadster, a new coupe and a redesigned Midget were all created by automotive designer Lee Mitchell.

While work on all the models had stopped when the company declared bankruptcy a few years back, it is likely that they could make a comeback, thanks to some Chinese investment.

The three modesl are all based on the modified version of the existing TF roadster, and will be powered through an upgraded K-Series engine that will deliver anywhere between 120 ~ 180 bhp, with relatively low emission numbers.

Mitchell claims that MG was short around £2million in their intial budget, where the money could have been used to create an new aluminum tub, to overcome the compromising driving position associated with the TF platform. However, that money didnt materialize, and the project was soon scaled down. “I felt we were making history and it’s a pity it never came to fruition.” Mitchell stated.
