1600 people interested in the new Mclaren MP4-12C
Even if McLaren will not start delivering the MP4-12C sports car until spring of 2011, there is already a long list of potential customers: more than 1,600 people have signed official expressions of interest. We have to remind you that McLaren only plans o build 1,000 units a year.
The new McLaren MP4-12C will be priced between £125,000 and £175,000 ($190,000 and $265,000 at the current rates) and will be sold in 35 specially selected dealerships in 19 countries.
The sports car is powered by a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine producing around 600 horsepower and 433 lb-ft of torque. The engine is coupled to a McLaren seven speed Seamless Shift dual clutch gearbox (SSG). It sprints from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3,5 seconds and can hit a top speed of more than 200mph.
