Mazda is planning to produce a new sports car RX-9 and will be supported by a new generation engine supercharged rotary engine.
According to Autocar UK automotive media, the RX-9 two-door coupe will be produced from the latest image RX-7, unlike the Mazda RX-8 currently has a complicated four-door configuration.
RX-9 is also expected to share the main chassis components with the new generation MX-5 roadster, according to Autocar sources.
New 16X rotary engine, will be larger than the unit twin-rotor 2.6-liter in the RX-8, which is equipped with electric supercharger and empowered more than 300-hp. Mazda is also still not decided whether this new engine will use gasoline or hydrogen.
