Porshe has come with a new sports car, the Porsche Boxster which is in the news for its seven-speed automatic transmission, a 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine, 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque.

Porsche needs little introduction or convincing. And anything that Porsche comes up with has to vroom your mind off – just what you would get from Porsche Boxster, the latest mean machine launched by the car company.

Porsche Boxster has already got some raving reviews and going by Scott Burgess of The Detroit News, the best thing about PDK is its seven-speed automatic transmission. “One that seems to operate through thought control, first developed by the Russians for the Firefox MiG-31,” says the car critic.

Porsche Boxster has a 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine that boasts of 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. In the words of Scott Burgess, “This car wants you to go fast. If you attempt a slow start from a stop, it hesitates slightly as if it's egging you on to push a little harder. When you do, it bolts like an escaping stallion.”

The car has a light body and can attain the speed of 60 mpg in less than five seconds. It has excellent suspension for long rides and manual shifters on the steering wheel.

The buttons slide back and forth at the tap of your thumb and respond automatically. According to sources, the vehicle released worldwide as a 2011 model has a base price of US$61,200.
