Renault has utilized this year's Frankfurt show to showcase its upcoming lineup of Z.E. (Zero Emission) electric vehicles, slated for European market introduction in 2011.

The group of four EVs aims to fulfill all the most popular segments as designated by Renault's buyers: urban mobility, a competent compact daily driver, a elegant five-passenger sedan, and a workforce-capable fleet van.

Its Twinzy Z.E. Concept city car is ideal for global cityscapes, Renault explains. Its ultra-compact design is seats four passengers, tandem style. Interestingly, it's the same configuration that Peugeot used in its BB1 concept. Powering the Twinzy is a 15 kw/52 lb-ft electric motor.

For buyers interested in something a bit larger, Renault will offer a model based on the Zoe Z.E. Concept. Passengers will find an optimized climate control that employs a hydrating 'detox' system with scent functions for a more pleasing driving experience. It also can be charged via three charging modes.

A more luxurious offering capable of seating five comfortably can be found in the Fluence Z.E. Concept. It's a true family family car that has a 100-mile single-charge range. Like the Zoe Z.E., it can be charged in one of the three main charging modes: Standard (4-8 hours), Quick (20 min), or Immediate Solution (3 min).

The Kangoo Z.E. Concept appeals to the growing fleet and business sector and is based on the current Kangoo van. Moving the wheels is a lithium-ion battery powered 70 kw motor with 167 lb-ft of torque on board.
