Artega, the newest sports car manufacturer from Germany, says it will be more than just a flash in the pan and is busy planning new models.

Karlheiz Kalbfell, the company's chief advisor, told Car Online
that Artega aims to fill the niche between high-volume and low-volume sports car makers.

Artega is planning to produce its first GT models, a lower cost rival to the Porsche Cayman, by the end of this month as dealer demonstrators. Following the GT's launch, Artega hopes to introduce a four cylinder version of the GT, and then move on to other standalone models.
