
Nissan's much-popularized GT-R supercar has been awarded the top spot for Most Advanced Technology in 2008-2009 by the Car of the Year Japan Executive Committee. The award is a part of the Japan Car of the Year selection process and is considered to be one of the most prestigious bestowed by the group of automotive experts.

As demonstrated by the GT-R's highly technical dual-clutch transmission and ECU setup that allow it to keep up with the likes of Ferrari and Porsche, the car is definitely worthy of such an award.
Godzilla though was outdone in the overall competition by the smallest car in the world capable of seating four passengers, the Toyota iQ. Rounding the top three spots were the Citroen C5 and Nissan GT-R.
