Growing demand of Nano has forced the TATA to increase its production. However, the company will meet the domestic requirement first with an annual production of 250,000cars. .
SMALL IN size with its cutest look, the TATA’s new Nano- a peoples car will be the cheapest car available in the market .Because of its versatility and unique qualities, the Nano has witnessed great demand not only in India but all over the the world. To meet the growing demands of the people, the company will increase its production as per the demands of people. However, the company will envisage the domestic requirement first and then later will meet the demand in overseas. A company’s official said.
The launch of Nano in high volumes will change the Tata Motor’s market position in a big way. Currently Maruti Suzuki is the leader holding 51.4 per cent market share in the country and Hyundai 18 per cent and the Tata Motors have 13.9 per cent.
At present, Tata Motors is working on its super-cheap car at its Singur plant with the production capacity of 250,000 units annually.
Many environmentalists and green peace keepers pointed out that such kind of cheap vehicles will imbued the pollution level, which is already growing at an immense rate in the cities. The Indian infrastructure doesn’t have the capacity to ply more vehicles.
