Maserati Quattroporte
Maserati is exerting efforts in order to produce the next Quattroporte. Though it is not a secret anymore, however, Lorenzo Ramaciotti, who is at the helm of Fiat design team at present relinquished some details with respect to the new car. Auto experts believed that the next-generation Maserati Quattroporte is not going to be any bigger.

It is irrespective of the fact that other competing auto manufacturing companies are designing and lunching bigger sports cars. In an interview, the design head at Fiat, Lorenzo Ramaciotti, said, “Even though our rivals – such as the new Audi A8 – are getting longer, we have to keep it as a sporty alternative”.

Moreover, experts firmly believe that the new Quattroporte will continue to maintain its current grille, which is a symbol of Maserati. Harald Wester, the CEO of Maserati, informed the new reporters that the new car is going to be a four-wheel drive vehicle. He further said that the new car would be more echo-friendly with lesser CO2 emission which will be achieved by the use of stop-start technology in the new sport car.

The new Maserati Quattroporte is likely to be released for its first public view in 2012. The new car, will certainly be lighter than the current model. The sport car manufacturer has also revealed that the new Maserati Quattroporte will be over 15 percent lighter than the current model while also being frugal on its fuel consumption figures and is believed that fuel consumption will be improved by around 25 percent. As mentioned earlier the CO2 emissions will be dropped significantly. The new sports vehicle would derive its power from a downsized V6 or V8 engine.

These engines will be mated with an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox for improved vehicle performance.
