Last year there was the Apollo Speed and before that there was the Apollo Sport so it comes as no major surprise that German sports car company Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur is planning yet another variation of its wildly styled supercar for 2010.

Set to be unveiled for the first time next week at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, the new 2010 Gumpert Apollo gets a slight power bump and will be available for the first time in right-hand drive. The most recent variation of the Apollo, the Speed, already develops 800 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque so whatever Gumpert has in store for its latest model will be impressive.

Few other details have been released but we do know the car will be available with a new black and white color scheme as well as a new carbon-fiber aerodynamics package.

The Apollo line of cars all feature a twin-turbocharged 4.2-liter V-8 engine sourced from Audi and matched to a sequential six-speed gearbox. The fastest version so far is the Apollo Speed, which is capable of accelerating from 0-62 mph in 3.0 seconds flat and reaching a top speed of 224 mph.

The good news is that Gumpert has a U.S. distributor in the form of Evolution MotorSports, which means this latest model will likely be available locally.
