The new BMW 5 Series GT is out in the open and slowly we have moved award from the multitude of spy photos that we have seen in the past few months.

BMW is focusing these days on promoting the new vehicle at various public and private events that take place across the world.

And what’s better to market a new vehicle other than displaying it in one of the busiest and largest airports in Europe: Munich “Franz Josef Strauss” Airport. With an estimated passenger traffic at 34.73 million in 2008, the 530d GT should receive plenty of attraction while being displayed there.

But let’s go back to the 5 GT: as we said before, the car looks stunning in dark colors, similar to what we have seen in the new 7 Series. We have had the chance to see the car ourselves two weeks ago and we’re not afraid to say that the photos don’t do any justice to it. Seeing the car up-close, we learned to appreciate the design lines and dynamics, but also, the gorgeous interior design which will clearly be a huge selling point for this vehicle.

We will have our 5 GT preview article tomorrow and we’ll tell you all about it.
