Toyota iQ

It seems that small cars are here to stay! We just reported that Tata Nano would be launched next month. But many Asian companies are known to make small cars. Even Toyota took this up as a challenge and came up with a cute little car known as the iQ, which was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2007.

Now Toyota has sent word that new iQ 1.33 would be making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Well, the iQ 1.33 moniker is due to the fact that it features a 1.33-litre Dual VVT-i engine and will offer 99bhp. What’s more, the so-called world’s smallest four-seat passenger car will feature the Optimal Drive technology from Toyota and will have the economy-boosting Stop & Start system.

The new Toyota iQ 1.33 is expected to be available in July this year. According to the company, the car will feature Multidrive transmission that offers 55.4mpg and 120g/km. Also, one can expect a collective cycle fuel consumption of 58.9mpg and CO2 emissions of 113g/km from the engine. The new Toyota iQ 1.33 will feature the standard six-speed manual transmission. No word on the pricing of the new iQ 1.33 from Toyota.
